Overview

The kit is 2 × 30 mL bacteriostatic water vials, one pack of 20 syringes, 20 alcohol swabs and one 250 mL sharps container, sold as a single item.

The vials are original Hospira bacteriostatic water presentations, factory-sealed and unaltered — Aus BAC Supply does not decant, repackage or relabel them. They are labelled as a diluent or solvent for compatible medicines that require preparation before injection, and are not ready-to-administer medicines. Compatibility, preparation and use must follow the supplied manufacturer product information under qualified healthcare-professional direction; never inject a diluent by itself or self-administer.

The syringes are 0.5 mL U-100, marked in 0.01 mL graduations, with a 31G / 0.25 mm × 6 mm needle. Sterile, gamma irradiated, latex-free and single-use, each sealed in its own pack and ISO 8537 compliant. They are supplied for research and laboratory use only, and are not supplied for human or veterinary administration.

The swabs are Bodichek 2-ply non-woven swabs, 3 cm by 6 cm, saturated with 70% isopropyl alcohol and individually wrapped in easy-tear sachets. Single-use, and supplied for research and laboratory use only.

The container is an ASP Healthcare FITSAFE™ 250 mL sharps container with a child-resistant screw-top lid — blow-moulded high-density polyethylene, 225 mL to the fill line, 16 cm high by 5 cm in diameter, made in Australia to AS 4939:2001. It is where the used syringes go: fill it to the line and no further, screw the lid down when full, and dispose of it as your state or territory requires.

Read each item's own label. The four are packed together for convenience and are not sold as a system for any particular use.

Aus BAC Supply is an independent retailer and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or an authorised distributor of the manufacturer; the name identifies the genuine factory-sealed product supplied.

DirectionsEach item in this kit carries its own label and its own directions — read all four. The vials are a diluent or solvent, not a ready-to-administer medicine: use them only as the supplied manufacturer product information and a qualified healthcare professional specify, and never inject one by itself or self-administer. The syringes and swabs are for research and laboratory use only, are not supplied for human or veterinary administration, and are single-use. The swabs are flammable: keep them away from heat, sparks and open flame. Put used sharps into the container point-first, never reach into it, fill only to the marked line, and dispose of the closed container through the route your state or territory requires.
StorageStore each item as its own label directs. Keep the syringes in their sealed packs and the swabs in unopened sachets until use, and store the sharps container upright with the lid screwed down, out of reach of children.

FAQ

What's in the kit?

2 × 30 mL bacteriostatic water vials (original manufacturer presentation), one sealed pack of 20 insulin syringes, 20 individually wrapped alcohol swabs, and one 250 mL sharps container.

How much does it save?

$10.00 against the cheapest way of buying the same contents separately — the 2-vial pack, a pack of syringes, a pack of swabs and one container at their current prices, which comes to $110.18.

Are there needles in it separate from the syringes?

No. The 20 syringes come with their needles attached — 31G / 0.25 mm × 6 mm — so the kit holds 20 syringe-and-needle units rather than loose needles. We don't sell needles on their own.

Do the syringes fit in the sharps container?

Yes. They go in whole and point-first through the neck with the needle still attached, and nothing has to be detached first.

Can I buy the parts on their own?

Yes. All four are listed separately; the kit is the four together at a lower price.

Is it in stock?

Yes. All four items are held locally, and the kit is dispatched from Melbourne on the same business day for orders placed before 2pm.
