These are Bodichek alcohol swabs — 2-ply non-woven swabs measuring 3 cm by 6 cm, saturated with 70% isopropyl alcohol — supplied as 20 individually wrapped swabs.

Each swab is sealed in its own easy-tear sachet, which is what keeps it saturated until the moment it is opened. The swab itself is two plies of non-woven fabric rather than a single sheet, so it holds more solution and holds together while being used.

The solution is 70% isopropyl alcohol. That concentration is the usual one for wiping rather than a higher one, because the remaining water content slows evaporation enough for the alcohol to act on the surface instead of flashing off it.

Each swab is single-use. They are supplied as a general laboratory consumable alongside our vials and syringes.
